Can Arsenal take it to Camp?

Last night I witnessed one of the finest comebacks in UCL this season. Arsenal overcame their home-blues to get an upper hand on the Catalans. This 2-1 victory was brilliant, but it raised a lot of questions as soon as the whistle blew.

Both teams have a similar style of passing. But Barca took the Gunners to school, so at a time when Arsenal had 205 completed passes, Barcelona had 413. But it doesn't matter how well you pass the ball, its important to get it in the back of the net.

After David Villa opened the deadlock, Arsenal were set the Herculean task to score twice against their opponents if they wanted a win. But second half goals from Van Persie and Arshavin secured them the victory. 2-1 at 90 minutes, their work was only half done.

First of all, as I read on a fan-forum,"Are we through?". Well sadly gunnersforlife19, there is still the return leg to be played. The good news for Arsenal is they have an advantage going into the second leg. The bad news is, they ravel to Camp Nou, which is a fortress.

Secondly, even if Villa's goal was an all important away goal, I doubt the second leg will go 1-0 to Barcelona for that goal to matter. Arsenal have the scoring capabilities.

So, if Arsenal do want to qualify for the quarters, they have to make sure they score goals. Even if its 1 goal less than what Barcelona score, they go through. I highly doubt they have the defense to take a clean sheet at the Nou Camp. And as for Barca, Pique is banned. They sorely missed the mop at the Emirates, and Messi was lack lustre, and a tad selfish.

P.S. This is for the United fans much as myself. Here's why Arsenal's victory will be good for us. Firstly I'm a bit tired of Barcelona hogging all the news (they have class I admit, but its too much). Secondly, if qualification can keep Arsenal's childish dream of their maiden Champions League trophy alive, there is a better chance they lose their bearings in the premier league. Its a distraction they are unlikely to overcome.
